Virtual Host 1

This machine is special. Before I go into the specs and usage of this machine, here's some background on this machine.

This machine is known as Hood. It's named after the man who created it, Jason Hood, who passed in 2020.

In his prime, Hood surrounded himself with brilliance (I was honored to be one of those), and he expected excellence from the world around him. Of course, the world being what it is did not live up to that expectation. For this reason, he often said he makes it through the day on Monster (the energy drinks) and blind rage.

The man, the myth, the legend, he left behind two daughters, both in their 20's, and an onslaught of friends in all corners of the IT space. He is still missed.

Jason built this machine as a gift to himself... because life was short and ended up being shorter than even he anticipated. I will keep this machine running until it is no longer relevant and will probably keep the lights on in it even after that as a constant tribute to him and a reminder that life is short, so do what you love!

This machine was over $3,000 when it was built. I've redone the loop twice and added a water block to the video card. Everything else is original.
